We stayed at the Kulmhotel Gornergrat, which we thoroughly enjoyed. It
offers a different experience of Zermatt, because you stay up in the mountains at 3,089 metres above sea level. Once the last train goes at around 7pm or 7.30pm,
that's it. The solitude of the mountains is truly marvellous, but if you're into bars and night clubs, it's probably not the place for you. The views are
outstanding, though. This image was taken from our room.
