Penguins are far more mobile out of the water than I expected. Time and again I was reminded of this fact. They seemed to be able to scramble onto icebergs that looked glassy smooth, and we often found them nesting in the unlikliest of places - like on the top of Useful Island, which is a scramble over rocks and ice of something like 500 vertical meters.

Shot on Fuji Velvia ISO 50 using a Nikon F5, an AFS 300mm f4 lens and a TC14EII.
