Penguins are far more agile on land than they look, and they will climb icy or rocky slopes that look far beyond them. This little fellow is powering up the southern end of Petermann Island. At 65° 10' south, Petermann Island is the southernmost breeding ground for Gentoo penguins, which are officially considered a sub-Antarctic species.
